Sandra Bullock's Divorce Had Her Blaming Herself & Raising Kids Alone Until She Met The Love Of Her Life

Her first marriage ended in divorce after her husband admitted to cheating on her, claiming it was "a part of life."

Everyone has different priorities. And most women know what they want and how to prioritize it. But irrespective of one's priorities, heartbreak is a heartbreak. It impacted everyone equally, although each may cope with it differently.

Award-winning actor and philanthropist Sandra Bullock, who started her career at 23, was not the luckiest in love during her early days. Her first marriage ended in divorce after her husband admitted to cheating on her, claiming it was "a part of life." But given the kind of strength she carries within, she trusted life and built her life from scratch and is now happy in the world she has created for herself.

In 1996, during an interview for Detour, she told Dennis Hensley that she had the worst dating experience but was with someone "really sweet." "For a year I was by myself trying to date and I'm telling you dating was the worst experience I ever had," she confessed. "I seem to have attracted everyone whose intentions were not the best," she added. It's highly likely that she was referring to film tech Dan Padilla, as per E! News

It didn't go too well, and eventually, she met Jesse James, the West Coast Choppers owner. They fell in love and in 2005, they got married. Sadly, it only lasted for five years and in 2010, they went their separate ways. The divorce went public after she won her Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side, and it was revealed that James had cheated on her. The fact that he had no regrets about cheating on Bullock might have hurt her more than the infidelity itself.

"Yeah, I did cheat on my wife," James told Daily Mail. "In general, both women and men cheat," James adds. "It's part of life." It was around this time that she'd considered adopting her son Louis. Sadly, she'd considered James the father, but she was let down. "She was embarrassed by what he did and in ways blamed herself at the time," an insider told E! News. "She did consider Jesse a father to Louis, so that was one of the hardest parts of breaking up."

After going through an exhausting divorce, Bullock spent the following years focusing on her son and adopted a little girl named Laila in 2015. Little did she know that good things were awaiting her. The same year, she met Bryan Randall, a lifestyle photographer. She took her own advice from the 1996 article where she said, "I'm not saying go out and sleep with them," she noted. "I'm just saying go out and have a conversation and know that they find you attractive and go, 'Okay, I'm not the piece of trash that I thought I was two days ago.'"

Now, Sandra Bullock and Bryan Randall, โ€œhave a quiet, happy life togetherโ€ along with the actressโ€™ two kids, Laila and Louis, an insider exclusively tells Closer Weekly. โ€œThe kids consider Bryan their father and he calls them his children. Theyโ€™re a happy little family.โ€ However, there are some friends who believe the two got married in a secret affair. Their pals say โ€œBryan wonโ€™t take off his wedding band because in his eyes heโ€™s committed to the woman he loves. And he sees himself as married to Sandra,โ€ the source noted about the duo.

Sandra loves being a mother and Bryan, a father of one himself, is great with children. He is there through thick and thin for her and the children. "He's involved with their school work, he goes to all of the kids' birthday parties and he is always by Sandy's side with whatever she needs," reveals a source to E! News. "They have built a great life together and the kids are the centerpiece." Though life didn't go the way she'd planned, she's now in a happy place and in the end, it's all that matters.
