He is thoughtful, kind, and has not let his success as an actor get to his head, making him one of the nicest people in Hollywood.
Keanu Reeves is one of the most successful actors in Hollywood. But more than anything, he is a really good person whom everybody can't help but love. Reeves may have played the role of a cold-hearted former hitman in the John Wick series but in real life, he will only kill people with his kindness. People have recounted numerous instances of how the movie star has been a humble person when he could have just taken the easy way out by hiding behind his fame. He is thoughtful, kind, and has not let his success as an actor get to his head. Reeves is, hands down, one of the nicest people in Hollywood.
Reeves has always been appreciated for his calm nature and generosity. He has been captured on video or photographs on many occasions just hanging out with homeless people. Paparazzi just came across it by accident, which means the star definitely does not extend his kindness for attention, he does it from his heart. On one occasion, he decided to spend some time with a homeless man on the side streets of West Hollywood. He shared his food and drink with him and at one point, lay down on the ground next to the man while listening to his stories, reported Grazia.
In other normal people stuff the star does, he takes the subway when he could easily be chauffeured around in an expensive car. He was once seen in the New York City subway offering his seat to a woman carrying a heavy bag. He was lauded for his chivalrous, gentlemanly behavior. One of the other ways Reeves has earned the title of a gentleman is how he takes pictures with women. He is known to practice the "hovering hand on the back" pose instead of grabbing on to the women, who may be his co-stars or fans. Many others in his position would take advantage of their position of power but not Mr. Reeves. While this may seem bare minimum things a man can do, Reeves is anything but basic.

Keanu Reeves is known to have lived a life of tragedy. But he did not let this harden him. He lost the love of his life, Jennifer Syme, their daughter, who was stillborn, and his best friend, River Phoenix. He also almost lost his beloved sister to leukemia but after a decade of fighting the illness, she is now finally in remission. According to Insider, Reeves founded an organization to support cancer patients and research, shortly after his sister's recovery. "I have a private foundation that's been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children's hospitals and cancer research," Reeves told in an interview. "I don't like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does."
Not the one to toot his own horn, Reeves has also been doing his bit for his co-workers on set and fans alike. Intelligent Living reported how people shared stories of being recipients of Reeves's kindness on Reddit. An assistant prop designer shared how Reeves would take the stagehands and grunt workers out for breakfast and lunch the last few weeks of the film shooting. Another person shared how Reeves gave $20,000 as a Christmas bonus to help a set builder who was having "family trouble." He once even took a pay cut from his Matrix income to help save jobs of the people on set.
Grazia stated that he gave up an estimated $75 million of his earnings for the second two Matrix films, for the special effects guys and people behind the scenes, whom he felt deserved the money more. He also took a $2 million pay cut for The Devil’s Advocate, to help the studio hire Al Pacino as the lead. Similarly, while shooting for The Replacements, he took a reported 90 percent pay cut so they could hire Gene Hackman. His generosity knows no bounds and when he revealed his relationship with Alexandra Grant, fans could not have been happier for him.
