Rhoades has introduced TikTok to Jerry, the ghost who lives in her house, who even has his own hashtag.
The question of whether ghosts exist or not is never easy to answer. But this TikTok video may just make you a believer - it may make you believe that ghosts exist and love the basement. And probably your dog as well.
Kimberly Rhoades is a TikToker with over a million followers. She posted a video recently of her dog playing in the basement with the resident ghost. She may have possibly caught the playful ghost on camera as well. Rhoades has introduced TikTok to Jerry, the ghost who lives in her house and even has his own hashtag. While her earlier videos with the ghost have been close to joke sketches, some of them, including this one, are actually terrifying.
In the video, Rhoades is calling out to her cute pooch, Daisy from the stairs of the basement. She asks her dog, "Daisy, who are you talking to down there?" The dog barks from downstairs and is seemingly excited. Rhoades then exclaims that she thinks it's so cute that Daisy and Jerry the ghost are playing with the dog's toys. That is until a battery-powered Snoopy toy starts moving on its own accord. Rhoades quickly switches it off and casually begins to talk to the dog and the ghost who seem to have been on a playdate.
Rhoades asks the ghost, "Jerry, do you like playing with Daisy?" Immediately, you can hear a loud thud in the background. Rhoades is as surprised as any one of us would be and quietly takes that as a "yes." She further engages with Jerry and asks him to point out his favorite toy to play with. The Snoopy toy starts moving on its own again. Terrifying. Daisy then calmly walks up to the toy and sniffs it like it's the most normal thing ever. Rhoades quickly retreats back upstairs and says, "Alright, you two have fun." Not all ghosts are out for your blood then.
TikTokers were spooked by the video. One user wrote, Time to perform [an] exorcism. Another user was left completely terrified and wrote: Haven’t been this scared in a long time. There were other people who had something completely different to say about this. One person said, Honestly, the thought of someone in the afterlife finding joy in playing with someone's dog is adorable. Another TikToker said, If Daisy is OK with Jerry, I'm OK with Jerry too. One comment read, Jerry is obviously a Peanuts fan, referring to the Snoopy doll. Jerry just down there living his BEST LIFE, noted another user.
Jerry is a regular feature in Rhoades' TikToks. While Rhoades does believe her basement is haunted, you will be relieved or disappointed to learn that Jerry's videos are scripted, according to In The Know. She confirmed so herself in the comments. She also added that she does not let her dog hang out in the basement with the poltergeist. If you watched this video alone, you would totally believe that the ghost actually existed. But it becomes more obvious when you watch the other videos of Jerry that it is, in fact, comedy sketches.
In one video, she announces to the ghost that she hit a million followers. While in the other, she goes down to the basement to find that Jerry has a girlfriend whose name is Mary. Even though the "ghosts" throw objects at her as would poltergeists, it is clear these videos are for comedy and not with the intent to instill fear. In the most recent Jerry update, Rhoades claimed that the ghost couple in her basement has stolen her popsicles and even demanded better flavors.
